Special Education Teacher
I grew up in Claremore and graduated from Claremore-Sequoyah High School. Go Eagles! (Not as much anymore since I’m now a BULLDOG!!!)
I graduated from Rogers State, Cameron University, and Arkansas State University.
I have an Associates of Arts in Education from Rogers State University, Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Cameron University, and Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
I am certified in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Middle Level Mathematics, Intermediate Mathematics, Middle Level English Language Arts, and Mild/Moderate Special Education.
I attend the state’s yearly EngageOK conference. I enjoy getting to participate in any extra learning available to me including but not limited to Great Expectations, OERB, Ag in the Classroom, Oklahoma Council of Teacher of Mathematics, etc. If there is a free workshop somewhere, I am almost always in attendance!
I am so excited to be a new member of the Bulldog family! I have been multiple mascots, but never a BULLDOG! I am super pumped to be teaching Special Education this year!
This is my 7th year teaching. I have previously taught preschool, 5th-8th Math, 5th-8th Reading/Language Arts, 5th Science, 7th Keyboarding, Algebra I, and Middle Level Special Education. I have worked in a school setting since I was 17, whether it be volunteering in classrooms or tutoring through the JOM foundation. In addition, I used to teach VBS classes and was a leader for the youth program at my church.
I am married to Wesley Arneecher. We have been married for nine years. We have one daughter, Emmalyn, who is in preschool here at Jay. We also have two dogs, Tori (boxer) and Ari (Great Pyrenees/St. Bernard), and a cat named Luna.
Hello! My name is Cara Arneecher and I am super excited to be teaching at Jay Upper Elementary! I love to travel and play board/card games. Reading time comes few and far in between, so when I am in my car, you can usually find me listening to audio books. Mystery and educational books are my favorites!
I have many asperations in life. I recently finished my Masters in Educational Leadership and plan to continue my learning experiences by adding as many certifications as needed. I want to travel the world and be able to share my experiences with my students.
