About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Jay High School in 1986.  I attended Northeastern State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I’ve invested 21 years teaching at Jay Public School and absolutely love my job!

Degrees and Certifications:

My Degree is Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I am currently certified as a Great Expectation Instructor for Summer Institute for the past 12 years.

Professional Development:

Great Expectations recognizes me as a certified instructor from 2000- 2017.  I’ve attended numerous conferences and have many years of training and educational experiences. I have attended the National Reading Association Conference and the Regional Reading Association.  Encyclomedia Workshop  2010-2014.

Current Position:

  • I began teaching at Jay Public School in March of 2000.
  • I have taught 15 years at Jay Public School.
  • I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Language Arts/Reading.
  • I currently teach 5th grade Language Arts/Reading

Previous Position:

I substituted for Jay Public School before I became an educator.  I was attending NSU for my degree in criminal justice.  After the death of my two year old niece, my calling was to be have an impact on changing the lives of others.  I substituted for approximately 7 years for Jay Public School.

Family Information:

I have a son, Jordan Graybill, he resides in Florida and works in the technology field.  He is my pride and joy!   I enjoy traveling, boating, and living life in the sun when I'm not working.  My husband and I recently bought a new RV and plan to travel when I’m on vacation.
