4th Grade School Supply List

Tools for the job of a 4th grader.

I’m hoping by posting this early you are able to purchase a little here and there over the summer. Hopefully, this will allow you to store the supplies and build up for the year with little cost at a time. Hopefully, this will also save you from having to spend all at once on all the supplies at the beginning of the school year.

Your child will need all supplies the first week of school.

4th Grade School Supply List with explanations ...

(Only because I know as a parent we want to know why we are spending so much on supplies.)

One 2" Binders (with sturdy pockets and 3 rings) … one binder will be for all subjects

2 packages loose leaf paper … put one package into each 2” binder (This may need to be refilled throughout the year.)

4 Composition Notebooks … 2 for Reading/LA, 1 for Math, and 1 for Computers as a password book

Index Cards - lined … for Reading

Kleenex … we never seem to have enough of these (donations of extras are greatly appreciated)

Headphones ...for computers (It is your child’s responsibility to take care of these.)

1 Pencil Pouch with binder holes … please place the pencil pouch in the front of the binder with the following items.

Colored Pencils or crayons … (place in pencil pouch)

2-4 packages of #2 Pencils … I highly suggest plain wood pencils without any plastic coverings. The plastic seems to tear up the sharpeners. Sharpened and placed in pencil pouch. These will need to be refilled throughout the year.

Erasers … Place one or some in pouch. This will also need to be refilled throughout the year.

Individual Hand-held Pencil Sharpener … (no electric or battery powered due to noise) place one in pouch

We are always in need of the following items:

Kleenex

Ziploc Bags (quart and gallon)

Clorox Wipes

Hand Sanitizer

Dry Erase Markers

**Glue Sticks
