4th Grade Teacher
I graduated from Watts High School, Watts, Oklahoma in 1982.
I graduated from NSU in 1986.
I have done additional coursework at NSU and Central State University.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in math. I am certified to teach all elementary subjects, Middle School Math, and am certified in mild-moderate disabilities.
I was privileged to attend a conference at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta in March 2014. This was an amazing experience. I have been incorporating many new ideas into my teaching since this conference. I attended a Temple Grandin conference in February 2019. Dr. Temple Grandin is a professor in Colorado and has been identified as being on the autism spectrum since the age of 4. She is a fascinating person and has a lot to say about autism, as you can imagine.
I started teaching at Jay Elementary in 2002. I have taught 3rd - 6th grade special education. I am currently teaching 4th grade math, science, and social studies.
Prior to teaching at Jay Public School, I taught for Des Moines Area Community College and then became a stay at home mom.
I have been married to Dr. Gregory Lamp since 1987. He currently has an Audiology practice in Grove, Miami, and Vinita. We have one daughter who attended Jay Public School from 1st - 12th grade. She graduated in 2010. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014, and received her doctorate in Audiology at the University of Oklahoma in 2018. She is currently a staff Audiologist at St. Anthony’s hospital in Oklahoma City.
I love photography. I currently take pictures for the Jay Education Foundation and the Jay Chamber of Commerce so you may see me around town with my camera.
I also love to read and hang out at my pool.
