Virtual Teacher Grades 3-5
I am a graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1997. I attended NEO A&M, in Miami, OK and then went on to attend and graduate from Northeastern State University, in Tahlequah, OK. I am certified in the state of Oklahoma to teach grades 1-8. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Supervision, with Oklahoma University.
My degrees include: Associate of Arts in General Studies; Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education; currently working on my Master’s Degree.
Currently, I am the Virtual Teacher for Grades 3-5 with Jay Virtual. This is my first year in this position, as this is a brand new program for our school. I am very excited about our new Virtual Program, and I am so happy to be a part of it!
Previously, I was a Second Grade Teacher, at Jay Lower Elementary. I taught in that position for the last eight years. I loved every minute of my time in the classroom with my students, but it was time for this teacher to start a new adventure! Change forces us to grow, in a good way! “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” -Leo Tolstoy
I married my High School Sweetheart, in December of 1997. We have four children together. Our oldest two daughters are both graduates of JHS. One is attending NSU to become a teacher, and the other just graduated from Cosmotology School and is working at a salon here in Jay! Our youngest daughter, is a Sophmore at JHS, and our son, who is in fourth grade, is attending Jay’s Virtual School this year!
